Jerusalem affairs minister and Jerusalem mayoral candidate Zeev Elkin praised the district court decision to order the extreme-left associated Babur Gallery to vacate municipality property that it occupied without the cities permission.
Minister Elkin said: ""The municipality of Jerusalem should not host a place that provides a platform for Nakba events and events in which the IDF soldiers and the State of Israel are vilified, It is inconceivable that a municipality structure will be used for extremist political purposes and to host radical-left wing organizations such as "Breaking the Silence" and" Ir Amim ".
"I will work to promote the cultural institutions in Jerusalem but I will not lend a hand to the libel of IDF soldiers and activity against the State of Israel," Elkin said.
