Chairman Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid Party has reacted to word that it appears that the Induction Law for the Israel Defense Forces will not expire after six years by saying, "This is actually the abolition of criminal sanctions."
Writing on Twitter, Lapid continued, "It was clear that Netanyahu would give in to the Haredim as always, but I have no doubt that [Defense Minister Avigdor] Liberman will not agree to this change, which means betrayal and cancellation of the IDF and it's chief of staff's outline. If Liberman agrees to the change, he will no longer be able to say, "A promise is a promise."
