Mahmoud Al-Habash, an advisor to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, has rejected remarks by Hamas Gaza leader Yahay that a calm with Israel is independent of reconciliation among PA factions.
Interviewed by the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation, Al-Habash said, "The Egyptians told us that the reconciliation comes before a lull and they will not take any step without coordination with Abu Mazen [Abbas's terrorist name -ed.]. The reconciliation talks have not failed, efforts on this issue continue.
