French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said, Wednesday evening that his country would take its own initiatives to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Authority conflict, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
At a meeting with French ambassadors stationed around the world, Darian said, "The United States started important diplomatic efforts more than a year ago, the results of which have not yet been reported, but we too will have to take the initiative." He stressed that France's goal is to establish two states "living side by side in peace and security" with Jerusalem as their capital.
