Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Israel can only seek peace if it remains strong during a ceremony dedicating the Dimona nuclear reactor after Shimon Peres.
"Shimon sought peace, but he knew that true peace can only be achieved if our hands hold firmly on the defensive weapon, in the Middle East, and in many parts of the world, there is a simple truth: there is no place for the weak. For the worse, they are the ones who survive, the strong are respected, the strong are cut off, and ultimately the strong make peace," he said.
"Our enemies but know very well what Israel is capable of doing, they know our policy, and those who are trying to harm us - we are hurting it ... We are working to prevent Iran's military buildup in Syria ... We have not let go of the effort to bring about the cancellation of the nuclear agreement with Iran."
