MK Nissan Slomiansky (Jewish Home), chair of the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, said on Tuesday evening following the court ruling on Mitzpe Kramim, “The Supreme Court rules mainly on the basis of affidavits, and therefore, unfortunately, it is easy for left-wing organizations and Arab residents to "trick" the Supreme Court, submit false affidavits and win the case, including evacuating communities and demolishing homes.”

"The District Court investigates the facts and demands that the petitioners provide proof that they usually do not have...that is why the law we approved, which transfers a great deal of authority from the Supreme Court to the Jerusalem District Court, is so important...the District Court did well to invoke a clause that the Supreme Court does not want to implement, and thus it was possible to save the destruction of communities and the demolition of homes. Let us hope that this will be a sign of things to come, and thus to regulate many of the communities and neighborhoods,” he added.
