The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided, again this year, to strengthen its consular system in Ukraine and put a permanent representative in Uman during the Rosh Hashana, when thousands come to pray at or near the Tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.
The representative will respond to Israelis on urgent consular issues such as loss or theft of travel documents. It will also provide any other emergency assistance that is routinely provided by Israeli embassies around the world.
