Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni took the campaign for the making a basic law out of the Declaration of Independence to the central Israeli city of Nes Ziona on Monday night. She described the document as "Both Jewish and democratic. With equality for all, including the Arab citizens of Israel, and regardless of the argument I have with the Joint List [of predominanty Arab parties, who are under fire for working for an anti-Israel resolution at the United Nations General Assembly in response to the Nationality Law -ed.]."

Writing on Twitter, Livni added, "We are in favor of separation from the Palestinians to preserve a Jewish majority. The government is in favor of separation from democracy. We will fight for Zionism everywhere in Israel."
