The Israel Land Authority and the Dira Lehaskir (Apartment for Rent) Company have published a tender for the sale of an 11-dunam (2.75-acre) plot of land in the Mishkafaim neighborhood of Ramat Beit Shemesh, where the intent is to build 132 apartments for rent.
This is the first time that Beit Shemesh is included in the five-year-old project, which also operates in Herzliya and Shoham, near Ben-Gurion Airport. Beit Shemesh is the city with the highest rate of growth in the country. Twenty years ago, the city's population stood at 17,000. Today, Beit Shemesh has more than 115,000 residents.
