The first public swimming pool will be inaugurated this week in the Negev Bedouin city of Rahat, according to Haaretz. The pool will open to the general public only in a month, after receiving all official permits.
The pool will operate in total separation between men and women, not including children. Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays will be for women and other days for men. According to the CEO of the Rahat Economic Company, Mahmoud Al-Amor, it is not possible to define bathing for families so that men and women can enter the water together.
