The Ministry of Health announced on Monday that a 61-year-old man who suffering from severe metastatic cancer and carried the West Nile virus bacterium has died at Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva.
To date, 74 cases of the virus have been reported to the ministry, including 14 people with severe symptoms. Two other elderly people with underlying diseases have died as a result of the disease.
