Opposition leader Tzipi Livni responded on Sunday evening to the report by News 2 that Arab MKs are initiating condemnation of Israel at the United Nations General Assembly, against the background of the Nationality Law.
The Zionist Union Knesset member said, "We will stand against the attempt of the Arab MKs to act against Israel and condemn it at the UN and struggle within Israel to preserve it as a Jewish and democratic state. We will continue to strongly oppose anyone who wants to harm the existence of Israel as the state of the Jewish people or its existence as a democracy. The Basic Law: The Declaration of Independence that we will bring up for a vote will bring Israel back to itself."
