Akiva Weiss, a haredi-religious reporter for the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation, was attacked Sunday after he went to cover a stabbing incident at the Knesset Hagedolah Yeshiva in Modi'in Illit. According to eyewitnesses, after Weiss arrived at the scene, he was violently attacked by young men from the settlement who threatened him to get him not to take pictures or publish them. After he continued filming, his cell phone was taken from him.

Following the attack, the reporter filed a complaint with the police. After filing the complaint, Weiss was given back his phone but the screen had been smashed.
