In the coming months, work is expected to begin on a housing project which is intended for the Jewish sector in the heart of the predominantly Arab neighborhood of Beit Hanina in northern Jerusalem.

Jerusalem City Council member Aryeh King, one of the initiators of the project, notes that "Arab families invaded the properties without permits, and recently two houses belonging to two families that were evicted after a Supreme Court ruling were dismantled, and after the removal of the families, the green light was effectively given to prepare the area for construction."
