Israeli representatives of the JUUL (JUice USB Lighting) vapor cigarette have petitioned the Supreme Court to issue an order instructing the state to explain why an order banning the marketing of its product should not be cancelled, according to Maariv.
The company also asked for an interim injunction that will prevent the implementation of the order until a decision is reached on the petition. The JUUL stressed that the Ministry of Health did not contradict the opinion of expert professors who determined that there is no scientific evidence that vapor products may be used for youth as a springboard to cigarette smoking.
