Prior to taking off for Lithuania, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Thursday, "I said that I do not think it is reasonable to close traffic in the middle of the week on the Ayalon. I think this is understood and will be taken into account."
He was responding to Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz's decision not to undertake construction of the Yehudit pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv on the Jewish Sabbath, which was supposed to close a direction of traffic for six Friday evenings and Saturdays for the next six weeks, starting tomorrow.
