IsraAID announced on Tuesday that it is sending an emergency response team to distribute humanitarian relief supplies and assess longer-term psychosocial and water, sanitation & hygiene needs in the Kerala area of southern India, following floods that have killed at least 350 people and displacing more than 725,000 to relief camps.
The non-government, non-profit organization said the emergency response team includes experienced members of the IsraAID Nepal team, who have received extensive training in humanitarian relief and last year responded to flooding in the Terai region of Nepal.
