Member of Knesset Michal Rozin (Meretz) has attacked Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan's arms reform, in which hundreds of thousands of veterans of infantry units (riflemen 07 and over) will be entitled to a weapons license.

Writing on Twitter, Rozin said, "Instead of protecting us, the public security minister prefers to ignore the blood-stained warning signs and to promote more and more civilian weapons," adding, "The reform will significantly increase the risk to the lives of women and children." She concluded, "I call upon the Minister of Public Security to rescind these dangerous regulations, to promote with us real solutions to improve the security of every citizen and to prevent the next murder."
