Lawyers of a police superintendent who claims to have been harassed have asked Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to open a criminal investigation against senior police officers, including Police Commissioner Roni Alshich, according to Channel 10 Television.
Their letter was sent after Mandelblit's refusal to grant immunity to two who claim there are suspicions of alleged criminal acts in the senior police command. Sources close to the attorney general believe that at this stage he does not intend, despite the letter, to investigate the allegations.
