The director of the Me'arat Hamachpela Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron has announced that the holy site will be closed for Jews on Tuesday due to the Muslim holiday of Eid Al-Adha, which runs from Tuesday evening until Saturday evening.
Jewish prayers and visits will take place on the "seventh step", near the southeastern corner on the outside of the structure. The inside will reopen to Jews for Selichot penitential prayers after midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
