Police arrested two men, one a resident of Acre and one of Kiryat Gat, on suspicion of attempting to smuggle hundreds of kilograms of meat, hundreds of cigarettes and bottles of alcohol from the Palestinian Authority to Israeli retail chains.
The merchandise was confiscated and some of it will even be destroyed by inspectors from the Ministry of Agriculture.
