Alyeska Pipeline, which runs the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System wrote on Twitter, Sunday, "There was no impact to TAPS operations and there are no operational concerns following this morning's 6.1 earthquake near the North Slope. Per Alyeska protocol, there will be inspections of the pipeline and facilities along the northern segment of TAPS."
Revised figures put hardest-felt tremor at 6.4 on the Richter scale, according to the Anchorage Daily News, making it the largest earthquake ever recorded in the area.
