Member of Knesset Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday, "You have a majority to pass the recruitment law with the votes of Yesh Atid.
Responding to Netanyahu's announcement that if no agreement is reached on the draft law, the Knesset will dissolve and go to early elections, Lapid wrote on Twitter, "There is no need to be humiliated again by [haredi Knesset member Yaakov] Litzman and the Gur Rebbe. Any compromise is submission! It is inconceivable that people who evade the IDF will decide on the future of enlisting in the IDF." Lapid noted that Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman "promised not to change a word in this law, which would cause more haredim to enlist and join the labor market."
