Jewish Home activists in Modi'in on Thursday initiated a project to host families from southern Israel in Modi'in-Maccabim-Reut.

For the purpose of the initiative, a website was launched in which residents of the south are invited to register a request for accommodation, while Modi'in residents register for hosting offers. In the second stage, families are matched in accordance with the segments specified in the registration.

Amiad Taub, head of the Jewish Home in Modi'in, said that "the situation in the south and the unceasing attack on the communities there obligate us to act for our brethren. We quickly put together a hosting project for the families of the south, out of the thinking that children during their summer vacation should not abandon their camps and run to protected spaces but rather rejoice and enjoy.”
