Member of Knesset Staf Shafir (Zionist Union) has called for an investigation into Benji Gopstein, the head of the Lehava organization for incitement to violence and murder against the LGBT community.
"I call on you to fight with a strong fist and without fear of the extremist forces that are trying to drag Israeli society into abyss of hatred and intimidation," Shafir wrote to the attorney general.
The letter was sent after Gopstein referred to the LGBT community a "terrorist organization" and called for a demonstration against the LGBT parade under the headline, "Jerusalem is not Sodom."
