A Turkish court has rejected a request for American pastor, Andrew Brunson to be released from house arrest on terrorism charges, according to the state broadcaster, TBT Haber.
US President Donald Trump had threatened and subsequently announced sanctions against Istanbul as a result of the pastor's continued imprisonment. Soon thereafter, Turkish authorities downgraded his imprisonment to house arrest.
