The Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature 2018 was awarded on Monday evening to author Ilana Kurshan for her autobiographical book "If All the Seas Were Ink".
Kurshan, the daughter of a Conservative rabbi from Long Island, is an American-Israeli writer who lives in Jerusalem and writes in her book about her life as a religious woman, beginning with her single days to being married and a mother. This is her second book to be published after her previous book from 2008 "Why is This Night Different from All Other Nights?: The Four Questions Around the World."
