Lebanese military police arrested an officer of the equivalent of a major, on suspicion of collaborating with Israel, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported this morning, according to Maariv.
According to the report, he was suspected, inter alia, of releasing detainees in exchange for large sums of money. It was also reported in the Hezbollah-affiliated media that at the end of an extensive investigation, additional officers were also arrested on suspicion that they were part of the officer's cell.
