Jerusalem's Chief Sephardic Rabbi, Shlomo Amar offered his support to his Ashkenazi counterpart, Rabbi Aryeh Stern with regards to the latter's recent criticism of the LGBT community.
"I was very sorry that they dared to raise a hand against a great Rabbi in Israel and to rebuke him harshly for daring to say things that are written and explicit in our holy Torah," Rabbi Amar said in a letter to Rabbi Stern.
