Social Equality Minister Gila Gamliel has demanded that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu not evacuate the families from the uprooted Samarian Jewish communities of Homesh and Sa-Nur who went up Sa-Nur on Monday night. She said, "13 years after the tragedy of the expulsion, we must allow the deportees from northern Samaria to return to their homes."
A similar demand came from Shomron (Samaria) Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, one of those who was expelled from Sa-Nur in the Disengagement of 2005. He said, "There was a terrible injustice here. There was a terrible crime of unnecessary and criminal expulsion of Jews from their homes in the Land of Israel. I ask the prime minister, leave the families in Sa-Nur, let them rebuild the houses. The public is waiting to correct this mistake."
