Member of Knesset Ayelet Nachmias-Verbin (Zionist Union) is attacking Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem Dov Kalmanovitch, who said that the falling of a stone from the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem should be "food for thought for Reform" Jews.

Calling on Chairman Naftali of the Jewish Home Party to show Kalmanovitch the door, Nachmias-Verbin asked, "What do all the fasts help the people of Israel if the next day, on the ninth of Av, a religious person like Kalmanovitch feels that the easiest thing to do is to disperse hatred." Referring to the arrest of an Arab for selling bagels, She added, "and the stone from the Kotel fell because of the Reform, just as the bagel cart was turned over from heaven." She concluded, "People like Kalmanovich are the ones who endanger the unity of the people of Israel and the destruction of the Third Temple will be brought by someone for whom hatred is second nature."
