The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said on Sunday morning that in response to a request from the United States and other European countries, the IDF completed a humanitarian effort in recent hours to rescue 800 activists from a Syrian civilian organization and their families from the fighting zone in southern Syria after their lives were endangered.
"The transfer of the escapees through Israel was carried out as an exceptional humanitarian gesture, and they were transferred from Israel to a neighboring country. Israel is not interfering in the internal fighting in Syria, and continues to view the Syrian regime as responsible for everything that is happening in Syrian territory," said the statement.
