Former Member of Knesset of the Shas party, Rabbi Haim Amsalem, said that Israel's Chief Rabbinate has turned anti-Zionist.
"As soon as the Chief Rabbinate is unable to solve the greatest problem that the Jewish people has, the problem of Jewish identity and assimilation, it no longer has right to exist," Rabbi Amsalem said in an interview with Israel National News. "The Rabbinate is losing its legitimacy."
