The Speaker of the Austrian Parliament, Wolfgang Sobotka went on record opposing any attempt by a regional politician to register consumers who buy kosher meat.
"The idea of registering consumers is in no way compatible with the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of religion, Sobotka said. "It will not happen."
