Member of Knesset Yael German (Yesh Atid) responds Thursday morning to the pre-dawn approval of the Nationality Law by the Knesset, saying, "The Nationality Law is a box of poison pills in Israeli democracy."
The former health minister continued, "Despite the warnings and legal opinions, and despite the fact that it was possible to reach a consensus around the law of Benny Begin and Yesh Atid, the coalition chose a law that will turn its back on the Declaration of Independence, a law that will lead to division and rifts. The State of Israel today is becoming a Jewish state and abandoning the democratic path."
