The Knesset has approved the first reading of a bill proposed by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Haim Katz for the regulation and supervision of early childhood settings.
The proposal stipulates the licensing of daycare centers while determining the conditions for their operation, alongside the creation of administrative enforcement tools, supervising authorities and penal provisions.
