Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, who is accompanying Prime Minister Viktor Orbán during his visit to Israel, says that his country is committed to Israel.
In an interview with Yediot Ahronot, Szijjártó said, "Hungary is one of the most committed allies to Israel in Europe and we are constantly fighting for it, so the criticism of Orbán by elements in Israel that he is anti-democratic is unfair, unfriendly and baseless." he added, "We have fought for a balanced and fair approach to Israel in the community We have always been the country that Israel could rely on in votes at the United Nations or in the European Union."
