J Street lobby founder Jeremy Ben Ami blasted the Nationality Law on Wednesday ahead of its expect4ed passage on Wednesday evening.
"The national law proposal was born in sin, with the sole aim of sending a direct message to the Arab public in Israel, to the LGBT community and to other minorities, that they will never be equal citizens in Israel," he said.
"The strong connection between Israel and the Jews around the world is based on the values of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, and we are concerned that the passing of the national law, the Israeli government and the coalition will weaken the power of Israeli democracy."
