Former Defense Minister Ehud Barak called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "coward" and referred to him as "spineless" for voting against a clause in the surrogacy law that would authorize surrogacy procedures for same-sex couples.
"(Netanyahu) again surrendered to the Bezalel Smotrich's who keep him in vulnerable places," Barak said. Smotrich is a Member of Knesset from the religious Zionist Jewish Home faction.
