Member of Knesset, Michal Rozin from the secular, left-wing Meretz party expressed concern that Arab-Israelis will be treated with "second-class" status as a result of the nationality law that was approved by the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee.

"The right-wing government is trampling on the values of the Declaration of Independence and the State of Israel, and soon it will be official with Arab citizens of Israel becoming second-class citizens," she charged.
