Officials in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party said that former US President Barack Obama delayed progress in moving the "nationality law" forward.
"The Obama administration objected and worked to prevent the approval of the national law, which anchors Israel's status as a Jewish state," the officials were quoted by Israel's Kan 11 television.
