The head of the Karnei Shomron Regional Council, Yigal Lahav, welcomed the approval of a bill that transfers the jurisdiction over residents in Judea and Samaria from the High Court of Justice to the Administrative Court in Jerusalem.
"The news coming today from the Knesset is not only making an important and historic justice for the residents of Judea and Samaria but for all the residents of the State of Israel," Lahav said.
"I congratulate Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked and Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman for making another step towards the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria and for understanding that after 50 years there is no logic to continuing military rule over civilians."
