Residents of Gaza and the Palestinian Authority have contributed to the construction of a synagogue in memory of Reuven Shmerling, who was murdered nine months ago by terrorists in Kafr Qasem, according to Yediot Ahronot.

A businessman from Gaza, who knew Reuven as part of his work, donated several thousand shekels a few days ago to build the synagogue, saying, "If there were other people like Reuben, peace would have come long ago." Other residents of Gaza and Kafr Qasem have made donations and offered kind words.
