Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman and Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot of the Israel Defense Forces have decided to close the Kerem Shalom Crossing for fuel and gas transfers into Gaza until Sunday and will continue to transfer food and medicines that will be approved on an individual basis, in light of Hamas' continued terrorist activity.
This contradicts Gaza reports that only medicines would be allowed in. The Defense Ministry confirmed it was also decided to reduce fishing space in the Gaza Strip from a range of six nautical miles to three nautical miles.
