European Union (EU) Council President, Donald Tusk wrote in a Twitter statement that “America and the EU are best friends."
"Whoever says we are foes is spreading fake news,” he added, in an implicit swipe at US President Donald Trump who had referred to the EU as a "foe" on trade in an interview with CBS.
