The Regavim movement for preservation of state lands filed an urgent petition to the Supreme Court on Sunday evening, demanding an injunction against the Palestinian Authority's announced opening of the school year at the Khan Al-Ahmar school, which is slated for demolition, to prevent the uprooting of the illegal Bedouin village in the Maale Adumim area.

After the court gave the state a green light in June to carry out the uprooting of the outpost and relocation of the residents to the nearby town of Jahalin near Abu Dis, appeals have stalled the process. The state is scheduled to respond to one of the petitions by tomorrow. Last week Judge Anat Baron ruled that the hearing on another petition would take place only on August 15th.
