The Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee has approved a second amendment to the surrogacy law for the final readings of the bill.

The Ministry of Health is demanding that surrogate parents not have more than two children in common, and that no surrogate mothers have more than two children. However, the Minister of Health, with the approval of the committee, may extend the number to three. This is in lieu of the committee's decision last week, according to which the restriction will be increased from two (as exists in the current law) to five children.
