The Supreme Court has issued a temporary injunction forbidding the removal of residents from the Palestinian Authority Bedouin village of Khan Al-Amar in the Maale Adumim area, demanding that the state respond by July 16, following an additional petition submitted by the five new lawyers representing the village, according to Maariv.
The new petition focuses on the fact that no eviction orders have ever been issued against the residents, only demolition orders for their homes, and therefore they should not be evicted. In addition, carrying out the eviction is on a list of sanctions for an indefinite period of time beginning on July 15, as a result of the lack of agreement in negotiations with the Ministry of Finance in recent months.
