The IDF struck a Syrian military outpost Friday afternoon, after mortar fire from the outpost fell in the buffer zone, east of the Israel-Syria border fence and not far from it.
The mortar was fired as part of the internal fighting between the regime and the rebels.
"The IDF is not involved in internal fighting in Syria," said the IDF Spokesman. "However, it will continue to enforce the Separation of Forces Agreement of 1974, including the maintenance of the buffer zone".
