Education Minister Naftali Bennett slammed the joint statement by Netanyahu and Polish prime minister regarding the Polish role the Holocaust and called for it to be canceled. According to Bennett, Yad Vashem "is the authorized body of the State of Israel and the Jewish people to determine facts in the Holocaust. Not a private individual or a political body."
"I am convinced that there was a mistake in good faith and the prime minister must correct it by revoking the declaration," continued Bennett. "The Poles can continue with their law as they please, but we must not be bound by a false document. The statement should be canceled."
